To continue science studies after basic biology, join this in-depth and complete study of human anatomy and physiology covering the principles of human biology and its functions. This is an especially good course for students considering medical / health fields after high school.

Course Description: High school level in-depth study of human anatomy and physiology with some hands-on dissection. Complete study of the principles of the human biology and its functions. The lab component will focus in depth on the organ systems of the body, their anatomy and physiogy. These include systems of the integumentary, cardiovascular, muscular, skeletal, and more! Designed for students to take this knowledge with them into their college clinical training. There will be two lab components where students will have the opportunity to dissect as well.

Homework
Weekly vocabulary, reading, and quizzes. Expect to spend 2-4 hours per week outside of the classroom on homework. Students are expected to read the assigned chapter(s) and write their vocabulary words to prepare for the recorded lecture and computer-graded weekly quizzes. Labs in class will enhance the organic and sensory learning experience.

Victoria Cerise, BSN, lives in Cincinnati, OH with her husband. She graduated from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and worked in the Emergency Department as an RN. Now, she uses her medical knowledge to teach science to students to help them learn the beauty of God’s design in our lives. She also works as a professional Catholic wedding photographer to help show the beauty of a God-centered marriage within her work. She has been strongly involved in prolife activism since college, and continues to do activism today through her photography and prayers. When not teaching or photographing, she is typically found learning new homemaking skills in one of her favorite places ever: her log cabin home!
