Includes Bioethics for Teens
Summary

In the Bodyworks with Bioethics for Teens series, students learn anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology (when things aren’t working right) fused with some Catholic bioethics and moral theology. This course is Cardiology.

Course Description: Teens learn about how the body works from three perspectives: basic science (anatomy and physiology), medical science (diagnosis and treatment), and Catholic bioethics (treatment rooted in human dignity). Classes consist of a lively combination of lectures, activities, worksheets, labs, games, case studies, and optional extensions in a relaxed active learning environment. Students are not expected to have any prior knowledge or to give correct answers in class – they are encouraged to ask questions and make guesses.

This course is Cardiovascular System.

Instructor: Kris Correira, DScPAS, PA-C, MA (theology with bioethics concentration)

Special notes

In this series, some nude anatomical pictures may be used when necessary. Courses containing topics relating to the specifics of the reproductive system and related technologies will indicate this in the course description.
