Live course taught by Domenico Ruggiero for Spring 2027 High School, Middle School Editing/Computer Skills
Summary

Most working professionals haven’t mastered what this course teaches. Advanced Excel covers dynamic arrays, Power Query, VBA programming, user forms, Python in Excel, and Microsoft Copilot — tools that are reshaping how data-driven decisions are made and that remain rare even in today’s workforce. Students who complete this course won’t just be ahead of their peers — they’ll be ahead of most adults. Taught by a former NASA Space Shuttle Engineer and active SE&I consultant for NASA’s Commercial Crew and Commercial LEO Destinations programs. Sign up today.

Course Description :

Advanced Excel is built for students ready to work like professionals. The course opens with modern lookup functions including XLOOKUP, which overcomes the well-known limitations of traditional VLOOKUP, then moves into dynamic array formulas — FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, SPILL, and related functions — that fundamentally change how data flows across a spreadsheet. Power Query equips students to import, clean, and transform data from multiple sources with repeatable, automated steps. Advanced PivotTable techniques including slicers, timelines, and calculated fields bring analysis to a professional level. The course then goes into VBA programming and custom user form development, enabling students to build interactive, automated tools within Excel. It closes with genuinely cutting-edge territory: Python integration within Excel and Microsoft Copilot — AI-powered capabilities that most of today’s workforce has yet to adopt. Students completing this course will be well positioned for college and careers in engineering, data science, business, finance, and beyond.
