Live course taught by Gary Michuta for Spring 2027 Grade School Church History/Doctors of the Church
Summary

Come encounter the history of our Catholic Church by getting to know the objects that were there when it happened. Join us as we tour Church history in 15 fascinating objects!

Course Description: This course is an objects-based survey of the history of the Catholic Church that touches on key events from the last two thousand years. Students will ground their knowledge of people and eras by examining the physical objects that we still have as reminders of what happened. From the stones of the Jerusalem Temple to St. Francis’s Tunic to a Vatican II parking pass, students will encounter objects from Catholic history guided by author, theologian, and apologist Gary Michuta.

Instructor: Gary Michuta

Special notes

Note to Parents: Due to the young ages of grade school students, we expect that you will accompany your child at all times while he or she is online, which includes attending live classes alongside your student. This will also help you assist your student with homework where necessary or help your student contact the teacher with questions. If you miss a live class, make sure to watch the recording with your student as well. Thank you for your support!
