This is Part One of a two-part course. Students are expected to register for Part Two offered in the Spring semester. Mrs. Breier provides daily recorded lectures for the remaining weekly lessons in addition to the 14 live classes.

For all 14 classes plus recorded lectures: $237 if you register on or before July 15, $257 if you register after July 15. (Registration closes one week before the first day of class. After that date, registrations are not guaranteed. There is a $20 surcharge for late enrollments after the course is closed.)

Materials
Glencoe Algebra 2 2017 edition (print edition ISBN 9780079039903, one-year digital subscription available ISBN 9780078985218 – please contact Mrs. Breier at minimum 10 business days before the beginning of the course if you are interested in the digital copy), graphing calculator (TI-84 plus or similar), straightedge, protractor, compass, and graph paper (I highly suggest graph paper sticky notes).
Homework
Daily assignments taking 30-45 minutes (not including watching daily lessons or attending live class), with weekly quizzes or tests occurring every week.

About Monica Brieier
Mrs. Monica Breier graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in biology, focusing on cellular and molecular genetics. She worked as a microbiologist and chemist after graduation but discovered laboratory work was not her vocation. Mrs. Breier pursued her teaching license because she had enjoyed her time as a teacher’s aide during college and loved teaching for several outdoor summer programs during and post-college. She has taught middle school science and math in Catholic schools for eight years since receiving her license. Mrs. Breier is married with two young children. The whole family is very active in youth ministry for the Denver Archdiocese as well as in their parish.

Kevin Kiernan
About Kevin Kiernan
Mr. Kiernan has been with Homeschool Connections since 2018. As a classroom monitor, Mr. Kiernan has been teaching history, geography, science, mythology, religion, and literature before class through the pre-class Jeopardy games he produces. Mr. Kiernan is a Catholic husband and father to five children, with the youngest two using Homeschool Connections to finish their high school requirements.
Mr. Kiernan is a former competitive cross country and track & field athlete, competitive weight lifting athlete, CCS and WERA licensed motorcycle road racer, AMA motocross racer, and ATV Institute safety instructor. He is currently an NRA rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor and competitive rifle and pistol, shooter. Mr. Kiernan studied mechanical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He has owned several businesses in the Powersports industry, and is currently the owner of Redline Rentals LLC. He is an active stock market day trader.
Mr. Kiernan enjoys hiking with his dog, weight lifting, mountain biking, target shooting, and spending time with his family, as well as debating politics and religion.
