Sign up for the advanced Spanish course where students will have the opportunity to practice their speaking and listening skills in Spanish through the discussion of articles and topics dealing with the world today.

How to get the most out of this Course: 

• First, read the course materials below before the first-class meeting.

• Then have a notebook ready and available for class notes each live session.

• Read assignments before class meetings.

• Watch that week’s recording if you need to revisit information from our live session.

• Do the assignments and any extra work assigned for that week.

• Instructor Access is mandatory for this class.

• Student must meet three (3) times with Instructor via Zoom for a verbal evaluation.  Parents are encouraged to attend along with the student. 

• Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.

Course description: In this course, students will review previously learned grammar and vocabulary and deepen and polish their conversational skills through group discussion of articles in class.  In the process, they will increase their vocabulary, learn new grammatical concepts, and develop an understanding of the culture.

Section 7: Topic of discussion: Learn to Ask for Help & Contractions with "Al" and "Del"
Section 8: Topic of discussion: Technology & Idioms with "De"
Section 9: Topic of discussion: The One Minute Rule & the Verb "Gustar"
Section 10: Topic of discussion: Thanksgiving & the Verb "Gustar" continued
Section 11: Topic of discussion: Christmas Customs & Idioms with "En"
Section 12: Topic of discussion: Spiritual Christmas Gifts & Grammar Review

Course materials: All course materials are provided free by the instructor.  A Spanish/English dictionary is highly recommended, as well as a notebook or binder and folder.

Homework: Students will be expected to spend 5 to 7 hours a week studying outside of weekly classes. Repetition is key when learning a new language.  Audio files will be expected to be turned in to the teacher.
