- Summary
-
Learn how to master the skills of Algebra I and polish your logic, critical thinking, and mathematical reasoning – and start high school math with confidence.
How to get the most out of Algebra I (Glencoe), Part One:
First, report for the live class with a notebook and pen or pencil.
Then complete the corresponding homework throughout the week.
Watch the recorded video lesson and complete the corresponding homework (if there is one).
Take the weekly quiz once all homework is complete. (Retake the quiz numerous times until 100% is achieved.)
Complete the chapter test given after we complete a chapter of material. (There will be one test every 2-3 weeks.)
Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.

Course Description: Algebra 1 is a key course which sets the foundation for all future mathematics. In this course, you will learn to think more abstractly and analytically. You will write, solve, and graph linear and quadratic equations. You will learn to solve quadratic equations through factoring, completing the square, graphing, or applying the quadratic formula. This course will also study monomial and polynomial expressions, inequalities, exponents, functions, rational expressions, ratios, and proportions. Algebraic skills will be applied in a wide variety of problem-solving situations.
