How to get the most out of Algebra 1, Part Two (Sadlier-Oxford) with Monica Breier:

  • First, read the course materials below before watching the first class.

  • Always view the weekly checklist and check items off as you complete them.

  • Have a notebook ready and available for class notes each session (also graph paper and a straightedge).

  • Stay on top of assignments! Each class will begin assuming completion of the day before's task(s).

  • Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned for that week in the order they appear on the checklist.

  • Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.

This is Part Two of a two-part course.

Mrs. Monica Breier graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in biology, focusing on cellular and molecular genetics. She worked as a microbiologist and chemist after graduation but discovered laboratory work was not her vocation. Mrs. Breier pursued her teaching license because she had enjoyed her time as a teacher’s aide during college and loved teaching for several outdoor summer programs during and post-college.

She taught middle school science and math in Catholic schools for seven years before teaching with Homeschool Connections. Mrs. Breier is married with four children. The whole family is very active in youth ministry for the Archdiocese of Denver as well as in their parish.
