Come meet the beloved “Little Doctor”, lay brother, and miracle worker— St. Martin de Porres! Using the engaging chapter book by Mary Fabyan Windeatt, we will learn about how St. Martin loved all of God’s creation and overcame the trials of life through his love for Our Lord.
Course Description: Over the course of six weeks, students will read the chapter book Blessed Martin de Porres: The Story of the Little Doctor of Lima, Peru by Mary Fabyan Windeatt. Each week, students will come to class to discuss what they read and to learn more about how St. Martin practiced the virtues of charity and forgiveness while helping everyone around him, even his special friends the animals! There will be a reading comprehension quiz each week, and a final book report will give students a clear mark of their achievement throughout the course.

Homework
Each week students will take an automatically graded reading comprehension quiz. At the end of the course, students will produce a 1-2 page book report as a final project.
Fees
For all 6 classes: $77 if you register on or before November 15; $97 if you register after Nov. 15. (Registration closes one week before the first day of class. After that date, registrations are not guaranteed. There is a $25 surcharge for late enrollments after the course is closed.)
