How to get the most out of Anne of Windy Poplars with Mrs. Henry:
First, read the course materials below before the first class meeting.
Read chapters 1-6 of The First Year and take the corresponding reading quiz before our first class together.
Then have a notebook ready and available for class notes each live/recorded session.
Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned each week.
Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.
Optional: You can purchase Instructor Access for $25. This will provide grading assistance for the essays, extra credit assignments, and final exam. Click the "buy now" link to the right.

Duration: Approx 45 minutesPrerequisite: None! It is recommended, however, to read books 1-3 in the Anne of Green Gables series first. Mrs. Henry offers Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, and Anne of the Island as Recorded Courses in Unlimited Access!
Suggested Grade Level: 7th to 10th gradeSuggested Credit: ⅔ Literature. Language Arts, or English. Add another one of Mrs. Henry's recorded Literature courses (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island or Greek Mythology) for a full credit.

Emily Henry
About Emily Henry
Emily Henry is an alumna of Hillsdale College and teaches Latin and literature.
Over the last decade, she has built a thriving, successful online Latin program for homeschooling families. Mrs. Henry’s goal is to make Latin accessible for students of all backgrounds, whether they have had prior experience with the language or are beginners.
Her approach to teaching Latin is unique because it blends the best of both immersion-based learning and rote memorization. This method of instruction has led to her online program winning the 2024 Practical Homeschooling i-Learn Award for Latin. Studying Latin with Mrs. Henry will enhance students’ ability to think critically, problem-solve, and become proficient in both Latin and Literature.
