Calling all students in grades 3-6! Dive into the world of American

Sign Language (ASL) with our engaging online class. Over four days, you'll learn the

ASL alphabet, basic greetings, numbers, colors, and even animal signs! Whether you're

fingerspelling your name or signing your favorite animal, you'll have a blast while

learning a new language. Don't miss out on this exciting journey into ASL!

Course Description: This introductory course offers young learners an engaging and

interactive exploration of American Sign Language (ASL). Students will gain

foundational skills in ASL, including the alphabet, basic greetings, numbers, colors, and

animal signs. Through interactive activities, students will develop a basic understanding

of ASL and its cultural significance. This course aims to foster an appreciation for sign

language while providing a fun and supportive learning environment.

A working camera is required and permission to appear on recordings.

Note to Parents: Due to the young ages of grade school students, we expect that you will accompany your child at all times while he or she is online, which includes attending live classes alongside your student. This will also help you assist your student with homework where necessary or help your student contact the teacher with questions. If you miss a live class, make sure to watch the recording with your student as well. Thank you for your support!

Day 1: Introduction to ASL and the Alphabet

Day 2: Basic Greetings and Expressions

Day 3: Numbers 1-10 and Colors

Day 4: Animals and Review

  • None. Any material will be provided by the instructor.

Homework

Suggested 15-30 minutes per day practicing with family

Fees

For all 4 classes: $47 if you register on or before April 15; $67 if you register after April 15. (Registration closes one week before the first day of class. After that date, registrations are not guaranteed. There is a $25 surcharge for late enrollments after the course is closed.)
