How to get the most out of Anatomy & Physiology, Part two with Victoria Cerise:

  • First, read any course materials below before watching the recorded lessons.

  • Then have a notebook ready and available for class notes each recorded session.

  • Read assignments

  • Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned for that class.

Suggested Grade Level: 10th to 12th grade

Suggested Credit: One full semester Anatomy & Physiology or Science

Instructor: Victoria Cerise, BSN

Course Description: A continuation of part 1, with review over some new systems such as the Integumentary, Lymphatic, Immune, and Pregnancy/Fetal Growth. In addition to learning these new systems, part 2 includes the dissection of a fetal pig with review over systems we have learned in part 1. Where appropriate, discussion of contemporary bioethical issues from the perspective of the Church’s moral magisterium will be engaged. The lab component will focus in depth on the organ systems of the body, their anatomy and physiology. These include the sensory, motor and integrative systems, special organs of sense, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, lymphatic, urinary, digestive, reproductive systems, as well as embryonic and fetal development. A special emphasis will be placed on the human identity and status of the embryo and fetus, incorporating a scientifically sound pro-life apologetics approach for students to take with them into their college and graduate level clinical training. Anatomy and Physiology Part Two consists of lectures and dissections will start week 5 of the course.
