Summary

Are you ready to start learning one of the world’s most beautiful languages? Join us to start your journey into French and open your eyes to the culture and literature of the language.

Course Description: Over the course of twelve weeks, students will be introduced to the basics of the French language, including the alphabet, numbers, and some basic verbs, articles, and pronouns. Students will study vocabulary that will help them talk about their families, homes, and schools while describing the world around them through words about color, clothes, and body parts. Each week, students will have the opportunity to practice their pronunciation during an interactive class, and they should expect to review their learning through at least one quiz per week. A final project will wrap up the course and serve as a showcase for student progress.

Instructor: Miss Aisling Mac Donough

Special notes

This Part One of a two-part course. Students are expected to sign up for Part Two offered in the spring semester.

***Note to Parents: Due to the young ages of grade school students, we expect that you will accompany your child at all times while he or she is online, which includes attending live classes alongside your student. This will also help you assist your student with homework where necessary or help your student contact the teacher with questions. If you miss a live class, make sure to watch the recording with your student as well. Thank you for your support!
