How to get the most out of Basic Anatomy and Physiology, Part Two with Inshal Chenet:

• First, read the course materials below before watching the first class meeting.

• Then have a notebook ready and available for class notes each recorded session.

• Read assignments after you have watched the class.

• Do the assignments, quizzes, and any extra work assigned for that week.

• Once the course is completed to the parent's and professor’s satisfaction, there is a Certificate of Completion at the end to be filled in for your records.

Course description: The human body is filled with intricate systems all working in unison. If any one of these systems fails, we risk death. How does our incredible body work? This introductory-level course provides a survey of the human body systems so that students will gain in-depth knowledge of the systems of the body. Homeostatic balance, the relationship between structure and function, and the interrelationships between body systems are a focus throughout the course. There will be optional dissections for the students to do / watch before classes, which will be discussed in class.

Note: The section of this book on the human reproductive system we will not be using; instead the instructor will be giving handouts. The chapters on these systems (Chapter 22&23) have anatomical drawings of the human reproductive system in case a parent would like to remove that part of the book before giving it to the student.

Homework: Each week, students will be required to read a selection from the textbook, take a short quiz, and every few classes watch or perform a simple dissection on their own.
